Fact #16

Today’s piece is about a curious phenomenon. Namely, Darkness can be a self-sustaining source of light.

What is darkness? And how can it shine like a self-sustaining light?

Well, darkness is the quality of being different from the norm, in a less palatable way. It means you don’t care what others think of you. It means you are a renegade from norms and social conventions that are binding on others, but not you.

It shines like a light, self-sustainingly, if it has a power source that is endemic to itself. If you are motivated to go on in the face of criticism, you have such a power source. If you are energized by the thought of blackest victory, you have such a power source.

The darker side of human nature is endlessly attracting for many men. We are tired of being goodie-two-shoeses prancing around with daffodils in our teeth. We want raw meat, red meat. We want to eat.

Experience is the food of life. Questionable experiences are the best. They line up in the memory like dominoes waiting to fall down into a messy heap of recollection.

When we look back on our lives, we want to say, like Sinatra did, “I did it my way.” And if that way is darker than average, so much the better.

If you have a spirit that broadcasts depths of shadow like magic, you can parlay this into a self-sustaining source of light. You can be a badass on the global scene.

It is unquestionable that badasses have more fun, are more engaging, are more charismatic. And in the heights of human society, the badass is a champion of ill repute, getting his way more often that not, spreading his seed among nubile willing females.

There’s nothing wrong with being “dark.” Some of the finest specimens of mankind were dark, ranging from the Marquis de Sade to Caesar. Their lack of morality and their insistence on myself-first-and-foremost defined who they were. They were interesting, because they abandoned sugar and spice and everything nice. They weren’t pussies.

You too can avoid being a pussy and reach for your inner darkness. All it takes is a badass attitude, a willingness to experiment and test out in life, and a thick skin for criticism.

There will always be pussies who can’t hack it, who act as “haters” of the badass motherfucker. These pussies will mouth off, because that’s all they can do.

When a hater comes on the scene, shut him down by living a successful life. Earn more money than him, get more pussy than him do whatever it takes to outcompete against him, life versus life. Only then will you see that life is more than a game it is an exercise in sublime domination mastered by the very, very few.

  1. It might require great skills in hypocrisy and propaganda like Machiavelli. There’s a skill to goodie three shoes and dancing with the donors and useful idiots but somewhere there’s a place for secret altruists with benefits and armies, Shangri-La-Ti-dough re me darkly. Was there a Rolling Stones tune, gone darkly or something? Yeah, dreams are in the dark and self-lit. I guess self-lit is better than self-fish if you’ve been taught to go fish or fly a kite. À chacun son goût
